Eight of the world's leading darts players will compete in a major televised tournament in New Zealand for the first time in August 2015.
The Auckland Darts Masters takes place at Trusts Arena, Auckland from August 28-30 2015.
The new PDC World Series of Darts event features stars including World Champion Gary Anderson, world number one Michael van Gerwen and the legendary 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor competing alongside eight Oceanic qualifiers across three days.
Former World Champions Raymond van Barneveld, Adrian Lewis and Stephen Bunting, eight-time major title winner James Wade and 2014 World Championship finalist Peter Wright complete the line-up of eight Professional Darts Corporation stars competing in the Auckland Darts Masters.
The tournament's first round will see them drawn against the eight Oceanic qualifiers, before the remaining players return to the stage to play off for the title.
The Auckland Darts Masters will be the fifth leg of the PDC's 2015 World Series of Darts tour, which begins in Dubai in May and visits Japan in June before a double-header in Perth and Sydney precedes the first major TV event in New Zealand.
PDC Chairman Barry Hearn said: "It has been a pleasure to see the growth of the World Series of Darts over the past two years, and to be visiting New Zealand for the first time for the Auckland Darts Masters is another major step for us.
"Not only is darts very strong at a domestic level – as shown by the participation of players in our major events in recent years – but the television broadcasts on Sky Television in New Zealand of PDC tournaments mean that the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson are now household names in New Zealand.
"The Auckland Darts Masters is a great opportunity for players from the region to take on the biggest names in darts and it promises to be a hugely exciting three days at the Trusts Arena."
